ABOUT MARCUS
Marcus Allen Jordan (he/him)has been fortunate to facilitate the theater arts in various capacities with teaching and directing living at the heart of his artistic practice. Marcus has recently directed productions of , Guys and Dolls, Godspell, I and You, Little Shop of Horrors, Once on This Island, Rent, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Beautiful, The Carole King Musical (Associate Director) . Prior to beginning his studies at Penn State, Marcus served as a musical theatre voice professor and acting coach at both Western Michigan University and Southwestern Michigan College. When not in the classroom, Marcus enjoys walking the boards himself as a storyteller. His most recent regional acting credits include Drifter in Beautiful,The Carole King Musical (Totem Pole Playhouse) The Baker in Into the Woods (Encore Theatre), Juror 8 & 9 u/s in 12 Angry Men, A Musical (Asolo Repertory Theatre), Tom Collins in Rent (Mac-Haydn Theatre) and Brother Trucker & Others in Working: A Musical (Farmers Alley Theatre). Marcus attended Western Michigan University and Westminster Choir College respectively earning advanced degrees in voice performance and vocal pedagogy.
